Dr Thiede and his staff are amazing! Very kind, caring, helpful, honest, and professional. My implant went very well. I have to have another one unfortunately, but I trust that Dr Thiede will do another great job! Highly recommend this office.

I took a few days after my oral surgery to gather my thoughts before writing this review about my experience with Dr. Thiede—and honestly, I’m so glad I did, because now I can truly express how grateful I am. First things first: I’m not easy to please. I’ve had some pretty severe dental trauma in my past, so walking into SoCal was nerve-wracking to say the least. But the moment Dr. Thiede administered the local anesthesia, I knew I was in excellent hands. I was bracing myself for something intense—maybe a jab to the jaw or pressure on the bone—but… I felt nothing. Not even a pinch. It was so gentle and smooth that I kept thinking, “Wait, that’s it?” Throughout the whole procedure, Dr. Thiede checked on me constantly. There were even a few moments where I caught myself giggling—partly from nerves, but mostly because I couldn’t believe how easy he made it. Every time he moved to a different area, I’d say, “That’s it?” and he’d smile and say yes, complimenting me on being a great patient. But let’s be real—he’s just an exceptional surgeon who made it easy to be a good patient. I have zero complaints, and my healing process has been incredibly smooth. I genuinely thank God for leading me to Dr. Thiede. One more thing I really appreciate: SoCal is a gorgeous, prestigious clinic. A lot of the clients there looked like they stepped out of a luxury magazine—but the environment was completely welcoming and inclusive. Dr. Thiede provides phenomenal care to everyone, no judgment, no hierarchy—just heart, skill, and excellence. P.S. Thank you for calling to check on me after my procedure. I visited just recently for an examination for the first time. Dr. Thiede was very good and very kind, as well as the front staff. The place was very clean as well, and I would recommend this place.

Very kind although I did end up with a dry socket. I am prone to dry sockets though. I do not think it was the surgeon's fault that I have a dry socket. I don't think I clot right. They did a great job and gave me dry socket paste when I called about the throbbing. Eventually,I plan to get an implant where the back molar is now gone and I would return for the oral surgeon to do it. I do trust them and I have not had great experiences in the past with other dentists in California, after turning 18 anyway.

I live in Egypt and I was hoping to come to the United States of America to have a coronoidectomy surgery with Dr Craig C. Thiede, but unfortunately I did not have enough money to come to the United States of America to have a coronoidectomy surgery with Dr Craig C. Thiede and I give him 5 stars and a few I have to give him 5 stars Dr Craig C. Thiede deserves 100 stars for his morals, manners, dealing with me, dealing with my questions, and his response to them. He is a more than wonderful man, and I did not take any action with Dr Craig C. Thiede, but I strongly recommend him for his good morals and wonderful dealings with me. In Dr Craig C. Thiede, he answers my questions himself. I wish all doctors in Egypt or in the world would follow your morals, Dr Craig C. Thiede.

The staff is amazing! I dread the dentist and had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Everyone was soo understanding and they made me feel so comfortable. I truly want them to know i appreciate them soo much.

Referred here by my general dentist to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I first came in for my consultation and shortly made my appointment for extractions. The staff and Dr. Thiede were very helpful and kind. As for the surgery, I don’t remember anything due to the general anesthesia, which is amazing! Post operative care has been going smoothly. One last thing, I paid for the procedure all out of pocket and they were very generous with deducting some costs. So greatful for the nice experience!

I went here for an extraction of all four impacted Wisdom teeth. The front desk ladies are kind and friendly, and they actually managed to get me the entire surgery + anesthesia for free which saves me a ton of money. The last place I went to wanted me to pay over $2000 out of pocket, but these folks actually made an effort to make it affordable for me--kudos to them on that one! The surgery itself was painless and very quick. When I woke up I didn't feel too groggy at all and the recovery's gone by really fast--the worst pain was on day one, but it hasn't gotten worse than that. They even let me keep the teeth and provided some extra care items to take home. The one thing that makes this place a 4 and not a 5 in my eyes is how my anxiety was handled. I was very nervous due to a history of PTSD and never having surgery before, and the doctors seemed really pushy and a bit callous. They tried to hold me down solely for being scared which only made me get even more uncomfortable. I was given a rather crass "do you want the surgery or not, we got you in early at your request" instead of comfort... Obviously, everything turned out fine, but I implore the doctors and nurses here to adopt a better bedside manner with their traumatized patients.

Dr. Desai was wonderful. Very great with kids. My son had a couple of teeth extracted back in June and everything has healed nicely. I would highly recommend him, he was great !

Dr.Desai has gifted hands , what a fantastic job with the removal of my sons Wisdom Teeth. My son is 19 and has Severe Autism . Great experience with wisdom teeth removal

Dr. Desai and his team were highly professional and very caring through out the process of having my upper wisdom teeth removed. They got me in earlier than expected and made the entire process a breeze. I’m so lucky to have found such a great doctor!

Dr. Desai does phenomenal work and has a fantastic bedside manner. I got 4 wisdom teeth extracted at once and was very nervous beforehand. Dr. Desai made sure that I felt comfortable and at ease through the whole process. He initially consulted with me on a day that they didn't do consults because I was in pain, and he answered every question I had (& I had a lot of them) with an eager to help attitude. Post op, he followed up with me on the phone to make sure I was okay. I never imagined that I could have this great of an experience with oral surgery. You'll be in very good hands if you choose him as your surgeon. Highly recommend.

Dr Thiede, his assistant and staff is awesome and considerate. I was having my 4 wisdom teeth removed, no anesthesia. They asked questions to make sure I was comfortable and if I did experience pain, he stopped immediately and handle the situation with such kindness. Definitely would highly recommend his office. I have been working with Dr. Thiede SoCal Oral Surgery for about a year for 2 surgeries in the process of getting an implant. They are extremely professional and I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Thiede and the team. After my second surgery, they sent flowers which was totally unexpected and very thoughtful. Dr desai was amazing. He did a great job. I would highlysuggest that you get sedated if you're going to get a lot of teeth pulled. I did not and it was a worst experience I ever had but that's at no fault of the dentist. It must have been very hard pulling all those teeth with me being awake and he did an amazing job

Oral surgery really scares me regardless of what it is for. Fortunately, my primary dentist sent me to Dr Thiede to get a tooth removed. I say fortunately because Dr Thiede is very knowledgeable and personable and took the time to explain all of my options and what the benefits of each option was. He always made it clear that the choice was mine and answered all of my questions. I'm not going to say the surgery was fun but it went well and was fast and my recovery went better and more quickly than I expected (I don't believe that you could ever expect better than that).

Dr. Thiede is very professional. I need to have a small surgery under my tongue, but this made me very nervous. On the day, he helped me to calm down at the beginning and later on did an excellent job through the whole surgery. Also, he is very patient and honest. His staff are very friendly and helpful in all aspects. I would strongly recommend Dr. Thiede to my friends and relatives if they need a very good D.D.S.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Thiede almost a decade ago and was referred by my specialist dentist. I feel comfortable with him so much so that I got another one extracted today by Dr. Thiede #18. I will be doing an implant there as soon as it is healed and ready. Dr. Thiede is someone who is just an easy going guy, someone I trust and feel is looking out for his patients best interest not his bottom line. I hope I won't need to see him for another decade 🙂 but I am glad I have a wonderful oral surgeon I trust that I can depend on.... Thank you Dr. Thiede!

The whole team is great, if I could give a hundred stars I would so far....I had a great consult and I'm going to have them do the procedure... I'm a chicken, but I feel they will be able to "UN" chicken me with their after care program...I'll post my results.....

What a great experience I had with Dr. Thiede and his office staff! I went in for a tooth extraction and Dr Thiede introduced himself immediately. We talked about the procedure and he educated me on implants and that it made sense to complete the implant procedure immediately following the extraction. I agreed and I was on the road in less than an hour. The customer service was next level. The staff followed up that afternoon, the next day, and a week later. Hands down the best dental experience I have had!

Dr. Thiede was highly recommended by my dentist for a second opinion on my implant procedure. Dr. Thiede reassured me that this was something that could be done and explained in detail what would be done for a successful implant. I was able to schedule as soon as I was ready, which was very important to me during the Covid-19 reopening. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional. Within a week my implant procedure was done and 5 day recovery period was as smooth as possible. Got my wisdom teeth taken out here less than two weeks ago. Everyone from front desk to the doctor who did the surgery was accommodating. I went in terrified of the pain but got out feeling just fine! To anyone who wants to get their wisdom teeth taken out, you'll be well taken care of here:)!

Dr. Thiede and his team are top notch! I recently had a consultation to help decide on a course of treatment, and met with a nurse, Dr. Thiede and his business manager, all of whom were very professional and personable. The price was extremely fair and each person I met with was very thorough and un-rushed, answering all my questions very thoughtfully. I especially appreciated Dr. Thiede giving me advice which ended up with my not selecting his company's more aggressive treatment. Others may not have been so objective and selfless. If I ever need oral surgery, implants or other services they offer, I will definitely use Dr. Thiede. I couldn't recommend them highly enough based on my recent experience.

I recently went to Dr Thiede for his opinion on some work I need to have done. He explained my options in detail along with pricing and I am very happy with what he explained. My husband and I have seen Dr Thiede’s a few times over the years and can say he’s the best at Dental Implants and any other type of Oral surgery. He did a implant for me eleven years ago and I have never had any trouble with it. He is the only Oral surgeon that my family goes to. He is gentle, caring, and always does quality work and he is very honest. I highly recommend Dr Thiede to everyone.

He is a wonderful oral surgeon. My husband had two implants with Dr. Thiede three years ago, and I had one implant last year. It is a great experience. Extra clean, careful, no pain, no bleeding. Every time we recovered super fast of all of them. Most important he listens to all your concerns, and his team is really helpful and always very nice. Now I went to his office again because I need a new implant, and I will trust him again.

I recently visited Dr. Thiede to have all of my wisdom teeth pulled. During my first visit he and his staff thoroughly explained the process and helped me feel more at ease about the surgery. All of the staff members I encountered during each visit were super friendly and very helpful. My surgery was very quick and everyone involved made me feel very comfortable and well cared for. I would highly recommend Dr. Thiede as an oral surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Thiede's office because the original oral surgeon I was referred to was going to take too long for my emergency procedure. Probably the best thing that happened. They are professional, courteous, accommodating and informative. Dr. Thiede is precise, efficient and confident. I loved the consultation room. It was more like an office with a big cushy chair instead of the dental chair which made the first appointment really pleasant and personable. The flat rate rate for an implant was convenient as I didn't have to worry about any other hidden or unexpected costs. They also made sure to send me home with a print of the final cost dependant on what I decided to do. Implant or just extraction. After the procedure, they sent me home with a 2 page sheet with instructions from day 1 - 5 and reminders of do's and don'ts, a heavy duty ice/heat pack and an ample amount of gauze. Not all offices do that these days. The day after my procedure, I was pleasantly surprised by a delivery of one of the prettiest bouquet of flowers I've ever receive with a lovely note wishing me a nice recovery. In addition all that, they also followed up with a text to see everything was and to contact them if I needed anything. Full service from beginning to end. I can't wait for my next appointment in 12 weeks.

Dr. Craig Thiede and his staff are among the most amazing and talented persons my family and I have ever known and had the pleasure to work with (over a span of over a decade moreover!) I first met Dr. Thiede when I had my wisdom teeth removed over ten years ago, The procedure went very smoothly and quickly, and I was surprised I experienced no swelling and was out and about right afterwards. Even years later I kept remembering what a great doctor Dr. Thiede was and how surprised I had been at the smooth surgery...fast forward to 2019. I had moved away from Southern California and now had a son in his twenties who needed four impacted wisdom teeth removed . After being alarmed and disappointed by the suggestions and recommendations we encountered here in Maryland I flew my son back to California to have Dr. Thiede perform the surgery. Dr. Thiede’s entire staff was kind, prompt, patient, very knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire process— and of course, Dr. Thiede was amazing again, removing all four of my son’s impacted teeth with great competence (and like myself, my son experienced no swelling...we were expecting a little but it never happened). Again, an extraordinary experience and I just wish all medical professionals were as skillful and kind as Dr. Thiede and his staff. Grateful for people like this in the world!!

Ecellent oral surgeon! He is great with his patients, he explains everything and makes sure that you walk out of there having accomplished what you expected. I had a biopsy done in my tongue and I didn't feel any pain during or after. I was also scheduled for a tooth extraction at the same time, but I wasn't sure I wanted to go through with it. At no time did he pressure me. He simply gave me the facts and let me make my decision. I highly recommend him. The staff was very nice too. Great place!

I was referred to Dr Thiede by my regular dentist and it was an excellent referral. Dr Thiede’s extraction of an infected wisdom tooth was absolutely painless. His staff was delightful and put me at ease prior to the procedure, and their follow up was much appreciated. Dr. Thiede was recommended by my oncologist dentist in 2003. I had some serious mop up work needed to be done after oral cancer and subsequent cure by jaw replacement surgery. He was very affable, and when it turned out he went to USC just as I did, right then he asked if I was going to south bend Indiana, to see the USC - Notre Dame game coming up in October. I said yes, all I have is flight and hotel, and would scalp a ticket for the game in Chicago. He suggested that I travel with he and his wife and another couple to the game. At all times Dr. Craig and his lovely staff treat you like you are the only patient in the world. They have extended my life at least twice. They leave everything on the field so to speak, in their relentless chase for a cure, and give profuse encouragement every step of the way. I have referred him to some very dear friends... it is the best office

My recent extraction of a back molar was made very comfortable by Dr. Thiede and his staff. Even gave me a very cushy blanket to keep the chill off while watching TV. I have to say I'm a difficult customer in that I am VERY hard to numb up. I told him to bring out the horse tranquilizers...he thought I was kidding. Well 45 minutes later I was totally numb and the molar came out in about 5 minutes. They give you an after-care package with after care instructions, gauze and even a little ice pack. I would definitely recommend Dr. Thiede to anyone who needs extractions.

My recent extraction of a back molar was made very comfortable by Dr. Thiede and his staff. Even gave me a very cushy blanket to keep the chill off while watching TV. I have to say I'm a difficult customer in that I am VERY hard to numb up. I told him to bring out the horse tranquilizers...he thought I was kidding. I've had two oral surgeries with Dr Thiede and would have no one else. When I can finally afford implants, he's the one I'll trust.

This dental practice is run with tender loving care and empathy for the patient. I have a son who is severely autistic with mental retardation. When we checked in, a nurse noticed this and asked if he wanted to sit in the TV room to calm down his anxiety. She accompanied us to the room and handed him a bottle of water. Another nurse took us to a room where she educated us on Wisdom Teeth - so someone actually read on the paper work I filled out. Questions were asked to gain an understanding of our son's diagnosis. Finally, the consultation with the doctor was right on the "money". During the consultation another nurse confirmed what procedures were going to be done at the hospital. She must have passed on this information to the office administrator because after the doctor examined my son's teeth and escorted us out , Stephanie had the breakdown on the costs etc. WOW! All in one visit.😇

Dr. Thiede one of the BEST dentist EVER!! He made everything so calm and easy for me, no one wants to think about getting their jawbone drilled into for an implant. Its scary! Dr. Thiede and his staff really show you how much they care about you as their patient. I TRUST him. YOU can trust him too!

Dr.Thiede and staff were absolutely outstanding with our daughters extraction. She was in and out in no time with two of the four teeth impacted. She is in minimal pain and swelling. We were very nervous going in but Dr. did a great job. Would definitely recommend this office.

I went there to take out 4 broken teeth all of them were under kneth my gum. I was scared but Dr. crqig Was fast and i didn't feel any pain. After like 10 minutes dr was like ok we are done all of them is out 😂 i though he was kidding, staff so friendly, and so nice Thank you

To the previous reviewer. . . I just want to say Dr. Thiede is an amazing dentist. While unfortunate, your insurance company did not pay the "ESTIMATED" amount. It is not Dr. Thiede or any dentists responsibility to MAKE A PROFESSIONAL DIAGNOSES BASED SOLELEY ON WHAT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY COVERS. It would be the equivalent of you having the symptoms of a Heart Attack, but your insurance only covers Heartburn. Ultimately be your own advocate for your health. Don't blame the doctor for your insurance. That is not fair.

Lindsey was a pleasure to see. She was very attentive and helpful. I interacted with several people at the office and it was a very personable and inviting experience. I highly recommend coming here if you love great service!

Dr. Thiede is an incredible dentist. Light fingers, caring attitude, and professional. He and his staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cared. Going to the dentist is never fun, but if you have to have work done, Dr. Thiede is were you want to go. I have a real and long time fear of dentist's, from the very first time Dr Craig and his staff were friendly and very good at making sure I understood and was comfortable. Four teethe removed and all I can say is I am very impressed. and to get a follow up call later that evening was a very unexpected surprise. I wholly recommend Dr. craig and his staff. they are the best.
